This has been a pretty difficult week for Alex and Mommy and I'm sure it's only going to get worse. Alex got his first round of vaccinations today and was not at all happy about it. He turned purple at the first prick and screamed until the nurse left the room. Thankfully he fell asleep as soon as we left the pediatrician's office - I much prefer a sleeping baby to a crying baby. Especially when you feel like it's your fault they're crying. But I'll take a day or two of fussy from the vaccines over him being sick from the full illness. The more I research and hear about vaccines the more I'm surprised people are willing to not vaccinate their child. The risks don't out weigh the benefits - they just don't. There are some really serious illnesses out there and it's just not worth the risk.

I also had to find a day care for Alex because I go back to work this Wednesday. I'm not at all happy about this and feel about as bad as Alex right now but obviously for different reasons. I feel like I found a great day care, though, and I'm really excited that I found something I'm comfortable with. The infant room will only have four babies in it and the teacher/baby ratio is only 1:4 unlike all of the other places I called and visited which have 1:6 ratios. I don't know about you, but there is no way I could give six babies my attention at the same time. My child is just now getting to where he holds his head pretty steady - I don't really want him in a room where he won't get a lot of attention. He's still so young and helpless. I just know I'm going to be a wreck on Wednesday.

Oh! And there's going to be another baby in the family very shortly. Justin's aunt is going in for an induction this evening! I can't wait to meet her little girl. I wish them the best and hope her labor isn't too terrible.

Speaking of labor - I'm probably going to write a rant blog in the days to come. Too many people are ending up with c-sections these days and something isn't right about that. I've been so aggravated about it lately because it seems the only people having them are people who are not educating themselves about labor and delivery. Read a book people!!!!

And now for pictures!!! These are from Alex and Vivana's first photo shoot.

Seen it and love the message. How were you able to watch it? I thought all things pregnancy creeped you out?
