Well, to update everyone:
-Alex is a pretty good sleeper, a great eater and is rarely very fussy. He has his moments, of course, but I think he's a pretty easy going baby overall.
-Mommy has successfully spoiled Alex because now he likes to not only be held all the time, but also walked around. Sitting and holding is not enough for my child.
-Alex is starting to enjoy his swing and bouncy chair a bit more. For why he doesn't like them, see above (why did I start carrying him around with me all the time?)
-Oh, additionally on the spoiled front, he will only sleep at night if he goes to sleep on my chest. Alas, I have a baby that sleeps in the bed with me. Not what I envisioned. We're working on breaking him of this habit. But I have a feeling it's me that needs to be re-programmed.
Justin and I have agreed to take him on his first public outing once he's five weeks old. I think I'm more excited about that than anything else. I feel a bit like a vampire (or college student) since the only time I get out of the house is at night right now. But I have enjoyed hanging out with Alex. He's a pretty entertaining companion.
And now, as promised, pictures:
Alex after his first "real" bath:
We cannot get his to sleep on his back - he's such a little old man:
Alex has found hair! He was screaming the other day and I couldn't figure out why until I noticed he was grabbing and pulling his own hair. Here he's practicing his new "trick" on his poor daddy:
Alex marked his great grandfather:
Five generations of Caylors: and four generations of Watkins:
