As of this week, our little boy is officially full-term. I can't believe it's already time to meet him! Pregnancy is a strange process - it seems to take forever until you get to the end and then it seems like it all flew by. I guess it's just unnerving to realize how quickly a human life is created. But the discomfort involved makes for a long nine months.
Speaking of discomfort, if anyone has any suggestions about how I can get more sleep - please let me know. Not that I've ever been much of a sleeper, but I feel I should get as much rest as possible right now. And trying to change positions while sleeping has become a joke. I have to actually move my belly now to switch from my right side to my left or vice versa. Justin told me that I actually huff and puff angrily when changing positions. See, even while sleeping I'm annoyed :)
We are almost prepared for our little one, too. We've picked out a name - Alexander Justin. His nursery is basically put together - I just need to hang some awesome pictures his Aunt Courtney and Uncle Myke made for him. And the only other vastly important things we have left to do is to put the car seat in the car, pack my overnight bag for the hospital and get two more baby things put together. So, in other words, Justin has to hang pictures and put together a swing and a pack n' play and I get to pack and fight with a car seat. Seems pretty equal to me.
The animals are now all co-habitating in the basement. Not well, mind you. But they are co-habitating. Opie started chewing the walls in the laundry room, so we had to put him in the basement. But its such a large space, he's having to be re-trained with the crate because he keeps leaving little treasures for us while we're gone. I feel so bad locking him up in his little crate while the cats roam free - but those silly boys just keep trying to break down the pet door when it's locked. They've all been so spoiled and it kind of breaks my heart a bit to think about how neglected they're going to be once Alex comes. I need to set aside some time every day for the kittie boys and the chiweenie. They are my fur babies - I can't completely ignore them.
That's pretty much all that's going on at the moment. The waiting game - a game I have never been good at playing. Should make for an interesting next few weeks. Thankfully, I haven't had any serious issues nor am I terribly uncomfortable. Sleeping is really the only issue, so I guess I can't really complain. Just imagine me on bed rest - Yikes!
Oh, and sorry that there are still no pictures for me to post. We haven't replaced the camera I broke yet. But soon. I'm sure I can get one good one of me imitating a blimp before it's too late.
(P.S. I just spell-checked this entry and it doesn't seem to think chiweenie is a real word. Apparently my dog is actuall a "chewing.")

So the countdown is on!! I can't wait to meet Alex!
Me neither! I also can't wait to sleep on my stomach again and do crunches!
How are you?
Oh girl, if you think you don't get enough sleep now, just wait.
Oh man, I want to poke that baby so bad!
Can you guess who said that? I mean, who would want to poke a baby?
Umm - Erin? Who else?
