Baby the size of cauliflower....

...yep. Our little bundle is weighing about 2 pounds this week. That's about the weight of a head of cauliflower - one of the few vegetables I refuse to eat. I can't wait until next week to see what kind of fruit or vegetable he will be compared to.

In other baby news, we have received our pirate bedding and mattress (thank you Sandra and Doug!!!) and are expecting our crib and changing table (again, thanks Sandra and Doug!) sometime this week. Whew. The nursery is getting together rather quickly. Well, the stuff is getting here all at the same time. The nursery will probably stay in disarray until I panic at 39 weeks.

We have also changed our doctors. Who says you can't switch doctors two weeks from your third trimester? We started getting unpleasant vibes from our previous OB and wanted to change while we still could - had to follow my maternal instincts.

[Just a side note to everyone: if you ever feel that you are no longer a decision-maker in your own medical health - change doctors immediately!]

Anyway, aside from my medical dramas and outbursts its been a pretty good couple of weeks. I'm getting a bit more uncomfortable and I know it will only get worse. But, eventually my body will be back to "normal" and a new adventure will begin.

Here I thought your baby was a fruit.

How about Eli. I'm stuck on Eli. Sam? Alexander? Taylor? Tristan? Jeremiah?

GAH!

I think we may just leave his first name "?" - like the artist formerlly known as Prince. That should go over well, right?
